Net2MAX - Be Your Own Telco


1 Introduction

No matter how big or wealthy global online services are, it will never understand the culture, needs and wants of a school or a factory in a foreign country - making it very difficult for them to formulate the suitable policies or deploy the required infrastructure.

The Net2MAX Management Platform enables local communities to formulate THEIR OWN POLICIES and deploy the MOST ADVANCED INFRASTRUCTURE at ULTRA LOW COSTS.


2 Community Platform

Although anyone can manage their own communications with Net2MAX, the distribution of the Net2MAX technology is focused at the local community level. There are many situations where people are NOT allowed to manage their own communications (like staff in a company or children in a family) and many situations where people do NOT want to manage their own communications (like no time or no knowledge).

In those situations, Net2MAX Communities perform the important role of customising on behalf of the member as much as possible the standard base One Click Contact (1CC) Management Platform supplied by the Net2MAX Centre in that country - so there is little or nothing left to be customise by the member herself.

Some communication services do come with the 1CC platform by default, however the Communities can also mix and match any EXTERNAL communications services easily on the SAME platform. This allows the Communities to offer the absolute best of what is available worldwide under one platform.

The Members themselves can also further customise Community Platforms supplied by the local communities according to their individual wants and needs.

Community Analogy
Using the 1CC platform directly by yourself ... is like driving your own car yourself. Having communities customise the 1CC platform you ... is like having a chauffeur driving you around.

Community Usage Example
With 1CC platform, the BEST ISP and VSP are used automatically for each of your call, however you have to keep track of what is the BEST yourself. With a Community Platform, your Community keeps track of what is the BEST on behalf of you.

Although the 1CC platform is mainly designed as a base platform for Net2MAX Communities to create their own platforms, it can also be used directly by members who have not formed nor joined any Net2MAX Community.


Community Telco Example
Examples of Community Telcos are people around you (your local community, your school, your company, your neighbours, your family, your group of friends).

After getting familiar with the 1CC platform, any member can start her own community easily with just a few clicks on the web. She can take as much or as little as she likes from the 1CC platform to create her own Community Platform. There is no limit on size, as little as 2 to as many as 20,000,000 members are welcomed.

Commercial:

In small commercial settings, the Net2MAX Communities could be the IT department of a business or communication consultants. In medium commercial settings, the Communities could be ISPs, VSPs, VoIP equipment suppliers, software developers. In large commercial settings, the Communities could be location based (population of a specific city) or language based (population who speaks a specific language).

Non-Commercial:

In small non-commercial settings,the Net2MAX Communities could be the "wise-guys" or "geeks" who always have the latest mobile phones or the people in your family who you always go to ask for help about technology. In medium non-commercial settings, they could be the IT departments of schools or government bodies. In large non-commercial settings, the communities could be location based (population of a specific city) or language based (population who speaks a specific language).

Before Net2MAX, these communities will not have access to the resources nor know how to create services or to help others - even if they wanted to, with Net2MAX they can help as much as they want and as much as people allow them to.


3 Structure

The online world is too big, too diverse and changing too fast for any single company to deal with by itself. Net2MAX team up with the local Net2MAX Communities to deal with it together.

Communities can set up and continuously maintain its members' communication environments.

Net2MAX Centre facilitates the growth of the local Net2MAX Communities, enabling them to:

  1. determine their own operation policies (e.g. no pornography in schools, no firearms in auctions)
  2. have their own physical infrastructure (e.g. networks, servers)
  3. develop their own services (e.g. book-keeping, customer relationship management)

3.1 Progressive Value Chain

Unlike other online services, who use their partners to add value to their business (by reselling them or by programming using their Application Programming Interfaces), Net2MAX aims to do the reverse and add value to our Net2MAX Communities' activities instead.

Net2MAX Communities can add in whatever new products, services, ideas they have on to the Net2MAX platform to create their own customised platforms in a rapid, global and stable manner.

Net2MAX off-loads the research, development, deployment and maintenance of core Net2MAX Functions from the local communities, allowing them to merge the most advanced communications technologies into their organisations, products and services very quickly and at very little costs.


3.2 One Click Contact Platform

Communities can provide their platforms to their members free of charge (like schools for students, business for staff), or they can bundle their platforms as part of their existing services (like ISPs, Telcos), or they can charge for their platforms explicitly (like platforms specifically designed for doctors or restaurants).

Net2MAX Centre supplies a standard localised 1CC platform to all Net2MAX Communities in that country so they can use that as a common base to build their own specialised management platforms for their members.


3.3 Local Communities

Local Communities can develop management platforms according to their own specific requirements by merging the base management platform supplied by Net2MAX into their own infrastructure (hardware, software and networks) to create a seamless high-value customised communication environment that is a perfect fit for their members. For example, a management platform for school children and a different management platform for doctors.

Net2MAX's community based deployment enables the management of the increasingly complex and fast changing online world at all levels (country, community, individual).

It allows a country to take maximum advantage of the online world by enhancing BOTH the citizens ability to develop their own services AND the government's capacity to protect them - rapidly and cheaply.

Net2MAX is a Management Platform for a wide spectrum of communication services, comparing it to traditional communication services is like comparing black and white photography with colour photography ... it is a dramatic improvement but it still works within the existing framework ... cameras and printing paper are still required, Net2MAX just added the colour.

Net2MAX drives the utilisation of existing and future Networks and Services up substantially by allowing the communities to develop their own management platforms by mixing and matching different networks and services freely and easily - expanding both the user base and the actual usage per person.

Traditional telcos and Net2MAX complements rather than compete with each other:

  1. Net2MAX increases the usage of the Network substantially. 1st Gen Telcos (Network Operators) can take the opportunity to build very SIMPLE IP based NETWORKS with higher speed, lower cost, wider reach, higher capacity, more mobility and more reliability to link all the Community Servers together.

    Some of them will become the Net2MAX Centres of their country.

  2. Net2MAX allows Services to be developed, integrated and deployed much easily. 2nd Gen Telcos (Service Providers) can take the opportunity to build very FOCUSED IP based SERVICES with new functionality, better ease of use, more features, lower prices for deployment on or integrate with the Community Servers.

    Some of them will integrate Net2MAX into their existing products and service to build very potent Net2MAX Communities of their own.

Ultimately, Net2MAX is about the 3rd Gen Telcos (the Net2MAX Communities), who will be the biggest winner. They do not used to have the capability to run telco operation - now they have. They can take this opportunity to build highly CUSTOMISED IP based PLATFORMS for managing different NETWORKS and SERVICES on behalf of their members.


3.4 Ready Made Platform

Using Net2MAX's Universal Customisation Net2MAX Communities can develop enhanced management platforms according to their own specific requirements by merging different Net2MAX Functions into their own infrastructure (hardware, software and networks) to create a seamless high-value communication environment for their members.

For example, a management platform for school children will be different to a management platform for doctors.

One Click Contact is the base management platform for Net2MAX Communities to build their own management platforms upon, it also serve as the common management platform for those members who have not formed or joined any Net2MAX Community.


3.5 Scalable Communities

Net2MAX provides the world's most flexible and scalable community program, depending on their own individual requirements, Net2MAX Communities can choose to do absolutely NOTHING or absolutely EVERYTHING.

Almost every part of Net2MAX can be enhanced or replaced by the communities themselves, when they believe there is value in doing so. This allows the communities to offer their members the absolute best online services possible.

On the other hand, Net2MAX also can take care of everything for the communities by providing a world leading online platform at the base level (from billing, payment collection, branding, sales, marketing, support, infrastructure), the communities then take this base and add in their own competitive advantages.

4 Creating Communities

Local communities vary widely in resources, capabilities and motivation. It is the responsibility of the Net2MAX Centre in each country to level the playing field by providing the necessary support to enable ALL of them to create their own management platforms efficiently and effectively.

For people with nothing, they can just follow the steps in the Become Your Own Telco Instantly guide and the Net2MAX Centre in their country will provide EVERYTHING that is required to run a Net2MAX Community.

There is NO need for Net2MAX Communities to invest, integrate or run traditional telco back-end systems (e.g. OSS, BSS, NMS, EMS) nor need to build their own retail network in order to collect money from its member.

The community can set new prices for phone calls to a country on the web, Net2MAX not only charge all the calls by the members to that country immediately afterwards, it also collects the money from the members


4.1 Community Infrastructure

Unlike other services providers who own all the infrastructure

Communities can combine their existing infrastructure with Net2MAX's or make use of Net2MAX's infrastructure selectively.

Net2MAX has specific procedures in place to allow Net2MAX members to advantage of the knowledge and experience of other members operating in similar environments to theirs.

Net2MAX Communities demonstrate our eagerness to trust and cherish our members as well as confidence in the member's knowledge, talents and expertise.


4.2 Global Reach

Although different customers will receive different services depending on their Net2MAX Communities, members of any Net2MAX Community can interact with each other seamlessly, since they all belong to the same worldwide Net2MAX platform.

4.3 Standards Based

Unlike other online services which attempt to trap or lock customers into their services with proprietary operation, Net2MAX's operation is purely international standards based.

Communities can and are welcomed to use their own systems (hardware, software, networks) acquired from their own preferred sources to enhance or replace Net2MAX platform's functionality.

In addition, Net2MAX try VERY hard to build communication paths to proprietary systems so our members can communicate with as many entities on earth on possible without having to build those paths themselves.


5 Community Types

Net2MAX provides different levels of features to communities of different sizes around the world.

5.1 Community 1

The main focus of Community 1 is GROWTH.

Community 1 refers to communities with 1 to 9 paying members at the beginning of the month. The Community 1 status will last for the rest of that month.

Members of Community 1 does not enjoy any discounts in monthly fee compared to normal members.

Net2MAX Forum should always be used as the first line of support.

The second line of support (phone or email) is the Community Operator. However, the local Net2MAX Centre will support the Members DIRECTLY in case the the Community Operator cannot provide the necessary support.

Excessive DIRECT support (more than 30 calls or 10 hours in total per month) by the Net2MAX Centre will result in the Community 10 status being changed back to Community 1 for the rest of the month.

Besides members voluntarily joining themselves into a Community 1, operators are allowed to join members by issuing specially tagged Cash Cards.


5.2 Community 10

The main focus of Community 10 is MARKETING.

Community 10 refers to communities with 10 to 99 paying members at the beginning of the month. The Community 10 status will last for the rest of that month.

Members of Community 10 enjoy cheaper monthly rates (about 25% off depending on their Net2MAX Centre).

Net2MAX Forum should always be used as the first line of support.

The second line of support (phone or email) is the Community Operator. However, the local Net2MAX Centre will support the Members DIRECTLY in case the the Community Operator cannot provide the necessary support.

Excessive DIRECT support (more than 30 calls or 10 hours in total per month) by the Net2MAX Centre will result in the Community 10 status being changed back to Community 1 for the rest of the month.

Besides members voluntarily joining themselves into a Community 10, operators are allowed to join members by issuing Cash Cards or by using a web request programmically.


5.3 Community 100

The main focus of Community 100 is providing SUPPORT.

Community 100 refers to communities with 100 to 999 paying members at the beginning of the month. The Community 100 status will last for the rest of that month.

Members of Community 100 enjoy cheaper monthly rates (about 50% off depending on their Net2MAX Centre).

Net2MAX Forum should always be used as the first line of support.

The second line of support (phone or email) is the Community Operator. The local Net2MAX Centre will only provide INDIRECT support the Members through their Community Operator.

Besides members voluntarily joining themselves into a Community 10, operators are allowed to join members by issuing Cash Cards or by using Instant Command.


5.4 Community 1000

The main focus of Community 1000 is HOSTING.

Community 1000 refers to APPROVED communities with 1000 to 9999 paying members at the beginning of the month and are hosting Community Servers on their own premises. The Community 1000 status needs to be renewed every 6 months.

Net2MAX Forum should always be used as the first line of support.

The second line of support (phone or email) is the Community Operator. The local Net2MAX Centre will only provide INDIRECT support the Members through their Community Operator.

Communities with less that 1000 members may be allowed to host their own servers (say for privacy reasons) by making up the numbers with "spare" paying members.


6 Community Benefits

The following benefits applies when that member belongs to a community.

6.1 Fast Start Up

Net2MAX lowers the barriers of entry into online world with a fast and low cost deployment roadmap. It normally takes only a few days for a Net2MAX Community to be formed and start delivering services to its members.


6.2 Support Discount

There is a discount of about 25% on the standard monthly fee when a member joins a community where he or she can get technical support from (instead of from the Net2MAX Centre).

Only 1 person within a community is allowed to contact the Net2MAX Centre if the number of members is less than 100. If there are 100 or more memebrs then 2 persons are allowed to contact the Net2MAX Centre.

For example, OZtell (the Net2MAX Centre in Australia) charges AUD3.95 a month for One Click Contact (1CC) to individual members. OZtell only charges AUD2.95 per month for 1CC when there are 10 or more paying members in a community.

This discount applies automatically each month.


6.3 Volume Discount

There is a discount of about 25% on the standard monthly fee when the number of paying members within a community has reached 100 or more.

This volume discount only applies AFTER the support discount above. Giving about 50% discount in total.

For example, OZtell charges AUD1.95 per month for 1CC when there are 100 or more people in a community.

This discount applies automatically each month.


6.4 Hosting Discount

There is a discount of about 25% on the standard monthly fee when the number of paying members within a community has reached 1000 or more AND the community has decided to host the Net2MAX servers themselves on their site.

This volume discount only applies AFTER the support and volume discount above. Giving about 75% discount in total.

For better quality, performance, security and privacy, Net2MAX Centres can supply servers to a large community (with more than 1000 members), which can be hosted on the community's site.

Members within that Community do not have to pay for the actual server hardware and software, but the Community has to pay a set up fee and the related infrastructure on their site (e.g. the hosting and the internet connection).

For example, all members must pay an once-off set up free of $3.95 each to the OZtell (for setting up the servers on one of their site within Australia).

These Community servers can be for the exclusive use of the people within the SAME community, besides system operation data, all data traffic and data storage of the community are based on their own servers on their site so their data does NOT have to leave their site.

The servers provided are Data Centre Grade (1 RU) computers but in case one computer goes down for whatever reason, the other computer can take over its function. In case of the lost of the whole site, stand-by machines in our remote disaster recovery site can be arranged.

These machines are fully managed by the Net2MAX Centre, the Community only has to provide air-conditioned space, clean electricity and sufficent bandwidth for their own use.

Community servers are ideal for ISPs, large corporations, remote towns with a lot of internal traffic.

Note this Hosting Option needs to be approved by Net2MAX Limited before Net2MAX Centres will send Net2MAX engineers out for installs or ship the servers onto Community's site.

The Net2MAX Centre will add or upgrade the community servers as required (e.g. for extra processing or storage capacities).

For example, OZtell charges AUD0.95 per month for 1CC when there are 1000 or more people in a community and they are hosting Net2MAX servers on their site.

This discount applies automatically each month.


6.5 Payment Bonus

There are normally payment bonus (extra credits) to reward members who purchase a large amount each time. Members within a community can take advantage of this and combine their buying power, purchasing Net2MAX Credits all in one go.

For example, OZtell gives up to 3% bonus credit for large payments.

AUD5000 - 3%
AUD1000 - 2%
AUD 500 - 1%

In this example, one member can purchase the credits and then use it to generate a number of Cash Cards for other members in the community (e.g. 10 x AUD50 Cash Cards for the 10 members within a community).


6.6 Administrator Option

It is possible for one member to centrally administor a whole community. This include presetting the configuration before the member become active and changing the configuration independently at anytime.


6.7 Lock-In

In order to recoupe the marketing, sales and initial set up costs, Community Facilitators can decide to lock-in members for a period of time (up to a maximum of 24 months).

A Member's registrated phone number cannot be used to join another Net2MAX Community if a lock-in is in place.

Net2MAX discourages an lock-in period and prefer the Communities to recoupe their costs through higher monthly fees or usage fees or once-off fees.

However, we understand there is such a need in some cases, thus the lock-in feature is available as an option.



6.8 Commerical Option

The final price is determined by the individual Net2MAX Centres and is subject to change at anytime. However, the following discount rule generally applies worldwide:
