1 Introduction
1.1 Internet Phone Number
Each user of Web Phone has a unique phone number which people can call them on. It always starts with the country code of 899.
1.2 Destination Phone Number
The destination phone number is displayed at the top of the page under "Destination Phone Number". This Destination Phone Number can be set through the browser by the user or can be set automatically by the referring web site.
1.3 Multiple Calling Methods
Web Phone supports 4 different calling methods, allowing people worldwide to make toll-free phone calls with or without any special equipment.
2 Call us from Your Computer
It is most convienent to make and receive calls using the software dial pad (Soft-Dial) displayed on the top of the web page.
If you do NOT have a microphone on your computer or somehow Soft-Dial does NOT work, you can still use one of the 3 remaining Web Phone calling methods.
2.1 Quick Start
- Outgoing
To Call Out, go to http://webphone.net2max.com/alias where the alias is the 1CC number, e.g: http://webphone.net2max.com/61290112121 and enter the destination phone number you want to call and click Green "Dial" button.
- Incoming
To Answer when there is an incoming call, click on the Yellow "Answer" button to answer or the Red "Reject" button to reject the call.
- Talking
During the Call, you can use the 12 Blue "0 to 9, *, #" buttons to interact with any automated voice systems. When you have finished with the call, click the Red "Hangup" button.
2.2 Usage Notes
- Phone Number Format
All phone numbers must be in the International Number format (that is with the Country Code and the Area Code in front). For example, 61290112121 for the phone number 90112121 in Sydney, Australia.
- System Requirements
You will need a microphone on your computer in order to talk to people using the web browser. Your computer system should already have the required Java environment, if not it will be automatically downloaded or you can download it at www.java.com. We have tested that Web Phone works under Microsoft Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox browsers on MS Windows and Linux systems.
- Instant Dialing
If you want the Web Phone to make the call immediately WITHOUT having to type in the destination phone number and clicking "Dial" etc. you can add the destination phone number in the Web Address. Please refer to the Web Address Control section for more details.
3 Call you on your phone
Some Net2MAX Members have the Call-back feature enabled.

In the above example, if http://webphone.net2max.com/61290112121 is typed on a browser, the system will connect the call to 61290112121 1CC number.
3.2 Usage Notes

6 Advanced Usage
6.1 Web Address Control
Web Address Control allows anyone (technical or non-technical) to voice enable their web site in seconds.
By adding a few optional words at the end of the web address http://webphone.net2max.com/ anyone can control the Web Phone directly from their web page and integrate voice calls into their web sites seamlessly. Currently, the available options are:
1. destination=phone number
- This defines the destination phone number to dial to. If it is defined by itself (without "origination=") then all it does is to fill the destination phone number into the web page, so the user does not have to type in the phone number, but it still does NOT initiate a phone call. The user has to click on the dial button to do so.
If "destination=" is not defined than the Web Phone page will be displayed and wait for the user to click on the relevant items.
2. origination=phone number
- This defines the origination phone number to dial from. The "destination=" must be defined before "origination=" will work. When "origination=" is defined then not only has the phone number been set by "destination=" but the browser will initiate a call between the 2 phone numbers automatically.
If the origination phone number is "soft-dial" rather than a phone number then the browser will initiate a call between the number defined in "destination=" and the Soft-Dial running in a web browser window of the user. If Soft-Dial has not been started in any web browser window yet then it will be started.
For example, "origination=61290112121" will initiate a call between the number defined in "destination=" and the phone number 61290112121. No Web Phone is required.
If you want the Web Phone to make the call immediately WITHOUT having to type in the destination phone number and clicking "Dial" then you can put the phone number into the web address itself http://webphone.net2max.com/61290112121
This is most useful for using the Web Phone as links on your web pages, people just click on a link of your web page and they are immediately put through to a specific phone number that you have predefined. More details are in the Web Address Control section.
