1 Introduction

Net2MAX currently offers two types of Remote Computers:

  1. Linux Container
  2. x86 Container

Both supports running of x86 or x86-64 operating systems and applications.


2 Linux Container

Only Linux based distributions are supported as operating systems (OS) inside Linux Containers.

The default OS is:

  1. Ubuntu

Your community might support other Linux distributions inside the Linux Container.

Some Linux distributions that have been known to work include:

  1. ALT Linux
  2. Arch Linux
  3. CentOS
  4. Fedora
  5. Debian
  6. Gentoo
  7. Linux Mint
  8. Mandriva
  9. OpenSUSE
  10. Slackware
  11. SUSE


3 x86 Container

Most OS that runs on x86 or x86-64 hardware will work inside the x86 Container.

The default OS is:

  1. Ubuntu

Your community might support other Linux or non-Linux based OS inside the x86 container.

Some non-Linux based OS that have been known to work include:

  1. Apple OS X
  2. FreeBSD
  3. FreeDOS
  4. Haiku OS
  5. MS DOS
  6. MS Windows Server 2003
  7. MS Windows Server 2008
  8. MS Windows XP
  9. MS Windows Vista
