1 Windows XP

1.1 Administrator

Since Private Network will create an EXTRA "Local Area Network Connection" on your computer (much like a virtual network card), you MUST be an administrator to install Private Network.

However, you do NOT need to be an Administrator for everyday use of the Private Network.

1.2 Auto Download, Install, Configuration

Net2MAX will try to automate the set up of the Private Network on your computer, so it will only require One Click from you.

After that it will download the required the software, generate the required certificates for your computer and configure the required settings.

You WILL see windows and mouses moving around by during that automated installation process - that is NORMAL.

To install the Private Network, please login at http://net2max.com/login, click on Security->Private Network->Install Network

After the installation has been completed, simply click on the "Start Network" button to start using the Private Network.

1.3 Private Class-B IP Subnet

The community servers will generally assign the 172.28.0.0/16 subnet for the Private Network.

You computer will be given an IP address with that range.

So, if you are planning an internal private network - do NOT use 172.28.0.0/16 !!

There are ways to overcome the conflict but we prefer not to have to do so :)
