1 Troubleshooting

1.1 Do NOT use Server IP Address

When setting up your Internet Phone device (hardware or software) it is important to enter the name of the SIP or IAX server (e.g. sip.oztralia.com).

Do NOT use IP addresses, as the IP addresses of SIP and IAX servers change regularly without notice.

1.2 Member No Credit

A common problem with dialing out using Access Number is that the individual Net2MAX Member does not have enough credit in their account to enabled you to make the call.

Calls from some Access Numbers will incur charges for the Net2MAX Member.

So, if you CANNOT get through after you have entered a destination number then one possibility is that the Member who owns that destination does not have enough credits to enable that calls from that particular Access Number.

1.3 No More Default Local Format

Wed Dialer MUST be used from now on to set up Local Dial Format.

1.4 Do NOT give 899 and 898 numbers to Public

You should ALWAYS give out your 1CC number, your Internet Phone number 899... and your Web PABX number 898... is for your internal use only.

They are for your own use, like in cases where you want direct access to your Internet Phone or your Web PABX (like when you are programming your Web PABX or Web Dialer to call your own Internet phone 899...), they are NOT design for you to give out to public. Give out your 1CC number instead.

1.5 No More Short Cuts

The following short-cut for direct dialing Internet Phones and Web PABXs are NO LONGER supported:

  1. 898yyy where yyy is the Net2MAX Member's Account Number.
  2. 899yyy where yyy is the Net2MAX Member's Account Number.
For example, yyy = 92176000
  1. 89892176000     (incorrect)
  2. 89992176000     (incorrect)

For direct dialing Internet Phones and Web PABXs, the following full numbers have to be used instead:

  1. 898xxxyyy where xxx is the Net2MAX Member's Network Number.
  2. 899xxxyyy where xxx is the Net2MAX Member's Network Number.
For example, xxx = 060, yyy = 92176000
  1. 89806092176000     (correct)
  2. 89906092176000     (correct)

Please use the Quick Dial feature to perform short cut dialing instead.
