1 Introduction
Text Messaging is increasing in importance every day - from computer-based instant messages to mobile phone-based short message services (SMS).
Besides supporting the transport of text via Instant Message, Net2MAX also supports transporting of commands.
- Instant Command - for providing instructions to computers
- Instant Message - for transporting data between humans
Both can make use of most text based networks in the world.
2 Instant Commands
Unlike other messaging system which passively transports data, Net2MAX supports Instant Commands (active smart messages that perform an unlimited number of actions for the member).
Instant Command "tells" Net2MAX applications and other online services what actions to perform at what time or under what conditions. It is the first time an unified command standard has been developed for both "human to machine" and "machine to machine" communications.
Instant Commands are designed to be very concise so they can be input from handheld devices like mobile phones and PDAs very easily. Their concise nature also allows them to operate over bandwidth limited transports like SMS and instant messaging clients.
3 Integration with other Net2MAX Functions
Integration with Web PABX's message feature allows text messages to be sent from Access Numbers to mobile phones (using SMS) and computers (using MSN, Skype, Yahoo etc.)
Callers can use any standard phone to send text messages via Access Numbers - they do NOT need a mobile for SMS and they do NOT need a computer for instant messages.
4 Integration with other Online Services
Instant Command gain substantial power when it make use of the Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) of other online services.
