1 Introduction

2 Phone Email Clients

If you have a mobile phone, then there is no better email system that Net2MAX Group Email!

  1. Numerous ways of accessing email for BOTH high-end and low-end phones. You do not need expensive Blackberry hardware to access your email from your phone and you do not need to pay the even more expensive Blackberry monthly charges.
  2. Contact list synchronisation means no more double entry of phone numbers, no more losing your phone and losing your contact list.


IMAP Idle

Top range mobile phones or PDAs with built-in email clients should use Group Mail's IMAP IDLE feature. IMAP IDLE will give you a push type experience without the SMS cost and less compatibility problems across different mobile networks.


Push Email

Middle range mobile phones or PDAs with Java, Windows, Blackberry, Palm, Symbian can download SyncML client software into their device to use Group Mail's Push Email feature. Push Email is might not work on ALL phones and PDAs, in those cases the WAP feature (discussed below) can be used.


WAP Browser

Bottom range mobile phones or PDAs with WAP should use Group Mail's WAP feature. WAP is great for low end phones because they don't have the storage and processor power to run a email client anyway.

4 External Email Servers

Group Email can go out and download emails from external email servers, allowing members to consolidate all their emails in a single place.

Supports most email protocols, including:

IMAP, POP2, POP3, RPOP, APOP, KPOP, ETRN and ODMR


5 Web Mail Servers

Group Email can go out and download emails from web email servers, allowing members to consolidate all their emails in a single place. This also has benefit of time saving from logging into web mail and the advantage of not viewing all related advertisements on their web pages.

Supports a lot of web mail, including:

aol, arabia, excite, fastmail, gmail, hotmail, mail2world, mail.com, netscape, yahoo

Note there can be large numbers of domains under each of the above sites, for example, @engineer.com is under mail.com


6 RSS Feeds

Group Email allows downloading of RSS feeds straight into the email box, each news on the feed becomes an email (with news summary and news links).

The full power of Group Email (like shared folders, WAP interface etc.) can then be used to access, store and share those news feeds.


7 Rule based Filtering

Group Email allows powerful rule based filtering and forwarding on server side.

Using friendly point and click on the web page, the member can define different rules and conditions and see if an incoming email matches

Since rule based filtering run on the server, beside automating actions on emails, it also saves the member bandwidth (especially valuable for mobile users).

All filtering are performed at server level at all times, whether the member is online or not.

9 Virus Blocking

All emails are scanned for virus before being delivered.


10 Alternative Port

Supplies port 9000 for sending out emails, in additional to standard SMTP port 25, for sending emails in networks that block port 25.
