1 Editing Rules
Everyone is welcomed to contribute.
There are only 2 editing rules:
- Think before editing.
- Have fun!
If you are someone who "needs" to read something before doing, then you can use the editing policy of Wikipedia as a guide.
Please remember that this is NOT a Forum.
2 Before Starting
You have to be a member of the Net2MAX Forum in order to edit articles in this Encyclopaedia.
Click HERE to register with the Net2MAX Forum.
After that, every time you log into one (either the forum or here) you will be automatically logged in to the other as well.
This allows you to move seamlessly between the two systems.

4 Merging Languages
In order to prevent Net2MAX Encyclopedias in different languages having different sets of information, a "Base Encyclopedia" is used to store and exchange information between all encyclopedias of different languages.
4.1 Base Encyclopedia
The English Net2MAX Encyclopedia (en.net2max.com) is the "Base Encyclopedia" for all other Net2MAX Encyclopedias in different languages.
Whenever there is a page in non-English Net2MAX Encyclopedia that does NOT have a corresponding page in en.net2max.com, then the person adding that page is asked to please also add that page into en.net2max.com as well.
4.2 InterLanguage Links
BOTH pages (the one in original language and its English translation) are linked to each other by have a special link at the bottom of each page.
This will have the effect of adding a direct link to each other at the bottom of the left hand sidebar, in the box titled "in other languages". If there is NO interlanguage link defined at the bottom of the page, then that box will not appear.
Interlanguage links are just like normal links, but with a 2-character language code and a colon in front.

The 2-character language code used is the ISO639 language code.
4.3 Merging Pages WITH English Translation
If the new page to be added to the non-English encyclopedia has been translated to English, then it is a simple matter of adding the translated English version onto en.net2max.com
Note, InterLanguage Links MUST be use at the bottom of BOTH the original page and the English page.
For example, a page titled "声音测试" (meaning "Voice Test" in English) which was created on the Chinese site zh.net2max.com will have its page title on the English site en.net2max.com as "Voice Test".
At the bottom of the "声音测试" page in zh.net2max.com will be the following Interlanguage link:
[[en:Voice Test]]
At the bottom of the "Voice Test" page in en:net2max.com will be the following Interlanguage link:
[[zh:声音测试]]
4.4 Merging Pages WITHOUT English Translation
If the new page to be added to the non-English encyclopedia has NOT been translated to English then it should STILL be added to the en.net2max.com site in its original language.
A language code indicating the lauguage of the page must be inserted IN FRONT of the title in the the form of xx- , where xx is the ISO639 language code.
For example, a page titled "声音测试" created on the Chinese site zh.net2max.com will have its title on the English site en.net2max.com as "zh-声音测试".
At the bottom of the "声音测试" page in zh.net2max.com will be the following Interlanguage link:
[[en:zh-声音测试]]
At the bottom of the "zh-声音测试" page in en:net2max.com will be the following Interlanguage link:
[[zh:声音测试]]
Someone who knows both the original language and English will then translate the page into English on en.net2max.com.
After translation, the page title in en.net2max.com will be changed from "zh-声音测试" to "Voice Test" and the interlangauge link in zh.net2max.com will be changed from "zh-声音测试" to "Voice Test".
At the bottom of the "声音测试" page in zh.net2max.com will be the following Interlanguage link:
[[en:Voice Test]]
At the bottom of the "Voice Test" page in en:net2max.com will be the following Interlanguage link:
[[zh:声音测试]]
5 The word "Net2MAX"
In order to people with different languages to communicate with each other without confusion. The word "Net2MAX" should stay through out the Net2MAX Encyclopedia and Net2MAX Forum without translation.
The only exception is on the Main Page of the encyclopedias and for the logo on the upper left hand corner. In those two places, the official local translation can be used.
In other places, the exact word "Net2MAX" should be used instead of local translation. Please do not use "N2M", "net2max", "Net2Max" etc.
6 Sand Box
You can try editing a special page called the Sand Box, here you can do anything without affecting existing pages in this encyclopedia.
Note that other people may be playing with the Sand Box at the same time!
7 Changing Core Settings
If you would like to change core settings, please refer to the Settings Page to get a feel of what is possible without programming by Net2MAX.
