1 Introduction
Email to fax is included in the 1CC package. If your account is not 1CC, you will need to migrate the account to 1CC first as this module is no longer offered separately.
2 Usage
To send faxes via email, follow the steps below.
- a. Compose an email to send@fax.net2max.com.
- b. The Subject field must only contain 1CC number (or Account Number) and Password, separated by a space.
- c. The Body of the email must only contain the following line and must be in Plain Text format (no HTML)
- Number: 61292125727
- where it must start with the word "Number:" and 61292125727 is the destination fax number in the format of Country Code + Area Code+ Fax Number.
- d. Attach a single PDF or TIFF file and send.
An email will be sent to alert you for the following problems:
- Unknown fax number - fax number has to be in the following format, in the body of the email. Example-> "Number: 61292125727"
- Authentication failure - only Account Number (OZnumber) and PIN should be present in the subject field, with a blank space separating the two.
- Unknown format - No HTML, only plain text is allowed.
- No PDF/TIFF file attached - only a PDF/TIFF file attachment is supported at this time.
- Multiple PDF/TIFF files attached - only a single PDF/TIFF file attachment is supported at this time.
TIPS:
- If you search around the Internet, you will find a lot of free software that either convert documents to PDF format or perform Printer to PDF function, allowing you to create PDF file for the email very easily.
- Try not to include a file with spaces in the file name.
- Certain Webmail clients (e.g. Yahoo Mail) will append a promotional message to every outgoing email, they will not work with this service.
- For 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers in Australia, just add 61 in front of the destination fax number, i.e. 611800624512.
- Currently Non-Australian fax numbers may not work reliably at times.
