1 Public Voice Interface
There are few ways to join an audio conference. One of them is by using an access number, e.g: 138813. The account holder must first enable this access number and has a sequence set up for this conference in the WebPABX.
The steps are:
- Dial to the enabled access number, e.g: 138813
- Select the language, for example: 1 for English
- When prompted to enter the phone number, enter the local number for the conference, e.g: 61 2 92176000
- A beep will be heard once you are in a conference.
2 Member Web Interface
2.1 Web PABX
The Audio Conference room uses the Web PABX for the management of both incoming and outgoing calls.
First, a voice greeting sequence on the Voice Greeting page needs to be created.
Once the new greeting has been created, it will be displayed in the "2.1 Select Existing Sequences".
To edit the sequence, click on the "conference".
Change the "Command" to "room" and click on the Save button.
The last step now is to set the mapping to "conference".
2.2 Web Control
Audio conference can also be set up independently of WebPABX.
To create a room, click on Voice->Audio Conference->Create Room.
The next step is to invite the participants.
In the above example, when the call is answered, the participants will hear "292176000 invites you to join a conference. To accept press 1, To reject press 2"
By clicking on the "Refresh" link, the moderator (account holder) will be able to
- List conference users
- Kick conference users
- Mute conference users
- Unmute conference users
- Lock conference from more users
- Unlock conference to allow more users
3 Capacity
Audio Conference starts with a capacity of 4 parties. Capacity can be increased in units of four each until a maximum of 12.
If more than 12 people need to speak in your audio conference then you should move your conference room from your base server to special audio conference servers for better performance.
